QUANTUM OPTICS AND
OPEN QUANTUM SYSTEMS GROUP
Welcome! We are a research group working at the intersection of Quantum Optics, Quantum Information and Open Quantum Systems. Our research interests span quantum fluctuation phenomena, collective atom-photon interactions, non-Markovian open quantum systems and decoherence. Our work aims to find novel ways to engineer interactions between atoms/atom-like emitters and photons, with the goal to build efficient light-matter interfaces and explore quantum phenomena at macroscopic scales. We are a theory group that works closely with experiments, aiming to develop novel applications of quantum optics in quantum information processing, and quantum sensing and metrology.
